Valtris Specialty Chemicals announces successful expansion of the production capacity of Benzaldehyde in Europe

Independence, OH USA – Valtris Specialty Chemicals has successfully increased production capacity at its Advanced Organics site at Tessenderlo, Belgium.

“Following the 2020 expansion at our Tessenderlo site for both Benzyl Chloride and Orthochlorobenzyl Chloride, we are pleased to announce the successful implementation of the next stage in our expansion plans. Nine months ago, we set out improve our ability to meet the needs of our customer with a 20% increase in our Benzaldehyde capacity, and we successfully completed the project on time and to budget” said Paul Angus, CEO of Valtris Specialty Chemicals.

Benzaldehyde is a key raw material in the production of hexylcinnamaldehyde, and other aroma chemicals widely used in the flavor and fragrance industry, especially in cleaning products,

With three production sites globally, Valtris Advanced Organics serves worldwide customers with a portfolio of chlorinated toluene derivatives, used in many different end-markets including agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, construction and automotive.
