Valtris Specialty Chemicals Announces New Chief Executive Officer
Simon Medley, industry leader from Loparex, appointed
Independence, OH – September 22, 2022 – Valtris Specialty Chemicals, a leading global manufacturer of a comprehensive portfolio of specialty additives and precursors, announced today the appointment of Simon Medley as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 19, 2022. Simon will assume the role held formerly by Paul Angus.

Mr. Medley was most recently CEO of Loparex, a North Carolina based global supplier of release liners. Previously, he spent 5 years at Chemtura where he held several critical executive positions, including Executive Vice President and President of Industrial Performance Products and President of Great Lakes Solutions. Before Chemtura, Medley held Senior Vice President positions at BASF, leading global teams in Germany and North America. Simon holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Teesside University in the United Kingdom and started his career at ICI Chemicals and Polymers.
