Valtris Specialty Chemicals announces the Completion of Life Cycle Analysis on Biobased Plasticizers

Valtris Specialty Chemicals, Inc. announced today that it has completed ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 Life Cycle Assessments on both its Biobased plasticizers; Santicizer^® Platinum G-2000 (NA) and Santicizer^® Platinum G-2030 (EU). The assessments were conducted according to the LCIA EN 15804 + A2 methodology. Key results of this cradle-to-gate analysis include global warming potential (kg CO_{2 Eq} ) of -0.39 for Santicizer^® Platinum G-2000 and -0.55 for Santicizer^® Platinum G-2030

Santicizer^® Platinum G-2000 and G-2030 are epoxy soyate esters with 85% certified Biobased content. Santicizer^® Platinum G-2000 and G-2030 are excellent general purpose plasticizers with performance comparable to other non-phthalate general purpose plasticizers. They offers good processing performance, excellent low temperature properties, and outstanding heat stability all while providing significant Biobased content. Formulators can also combine Santicizer^® Platinum G-2000 or G-2030 with one of Valtris’ Santicizer non-phthalate plasticizers, to create optimized solutions for their specific processing needs.
